Why was it so important to do it before the election? The same reason it was important to delay it till 3 mos after the election. Unlike most Bush appointees, he seems to have been very competent. You mean like most Bush appointees ... And his reviews were always very good. By liberals in the media. Yet, he gets canned for performance reasons. And the stated reasons don't stand up to examination. Sez you.
