They are more typical of the US than Iraq. Yes they are, I do not have figures for Iraq, those prices would be higher.

You didn't think we would build buildings of mud brick did you?

Its so typical of you guys to provide building costs for one of the most expensive markets in the world to explain the corruption filled, graft taking, Bush inspired white elephant being built in Baghdad, one of the cheapest markets in the world.

In fact, this is the CIAs' description of industries in Iraq:

Industries:
petroleum, chemicals, textiles, leather, construction materials, food processing, fertilizer, metal fabrication/processing

cia.gov

Given that Iraqi unemployment is over 30%, its highly unlikely there would be a shortage of workers but should there be, Dubai, which is experiencing the mother of all building booms, is just on the other side of the Persian Gulf. And then there is the smaller boom in Kurdistan to the north.

Clearly, the US, under the direction of Bushwat, is getting ripped off again big time. And then we have to hear you all whine that the rest of us complain unfairly.

My poor country......what have you done to it?
