Seems like all the long timeframe downward moves play out as sequences of threes interrupted by corrective waves, eg abc-x-abc-x-abc. I thought I was the only one who noticed this and was wondering about it. My limbic system is very happy that I'm not alone (LOL). It is true that bear moves tend NOT to unfold in classic five wave impulses, but rather in series of interconnected "threes". countercyclical monetary and fiscal intervention too quick to arrive. (vs. no countercyclical action ever taken during bulls) Maybe this does play a part. In the old (Elliott's) times governments were a little more shy about using printing presses and helicopters.
