it seems likely that the Fed will indeed roll over the debt until the MBS are sterilized. in the meantime, banks will show Treasuries on their balance sheets.

lending should increase. CDS should not be called, averting most derivative risk.

sounds like a brilliant and stealthy bailout. why would it not work?
