You know, my reaction did not change. When I first heard the news, I thought Spitzer was a Republican. I thought to myself, what a jerk. How do these guys get into such high office? Get him out of the Republican party. Get him out of office.

I think I know why they do such hypocritical behaviors that they rail and campaign against to the public. It's unadulterated hubris. They get so arrogant that they forget they pull their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. They think they're above the consequences of their behavior. Then they lie about it to our face.

Then I found out he was a Democrat, and I wondered what would happen, since they do not drum out their miscreants as readily as do the Republicans.
