Have you checked out the church's website?
To me, they seem to be all about promoting positive values among black people, in order to lift them up out of poverty and decadence, as opposed to being somehow against white people. Among other things, they're trying to stamp out the notion, popular among younger African Americans, that doing well in school is "acting white", and trying to get black people to take responsibility for their own lives and their own success, rather than just complaining that "the man" is keeping them down. Those are good things, in my opinion.
Granted, the honoring of Lewis Farrakhan is problematical, though one can consider that not everything the man does is racist. Some of what he does is also positive, in promoting education among black people.
