As I mentioned to Zeus, a white guy with this much talent and speaking ability would have been coronated long ago. He has had to overcome the fact that in some states, Mississippi, for example, 70% of the white population voted for his opponent. Racism is much stronger in America and even in The Democratic Party than is the idealist hope that a black or a woman will some day be President. Ferraro's comments are very much like those of a buddy of mine who believes that all African-Americans who have an important job are "quotas." Racist and non sensical.
