Nope it's pretty basic. My first finger gets pointed at parents.

Parents are designated guardians. Guardians of children should guard them against the contamination of being shamed, humiliated, and degraded for being who they are, which leads to self-loathing and maladaptive conduct. They should do this while guiding them and encouraging them toward healthy principles to live by; principles that generate confidence, competence, and a vibrant desire to achieve good and worthy things in their lives. ... ok, I made it sound complicated sorry. Parents are guardians against evil and toward righteousness. Do your job people.

When we stopped valuing parents, parents decided to go do something else, whoopsee.
