A year ago January, they issued the following press release with a rather lofty headline:

third-order.com

"Third-Order Nanotechnologies Introduces Ultra-quick Computer Technology: Material Breakthrough Could Replace Silicon Transistor in Future Microprocessors"

The issue that Chris raises and the one I find frightening is what the term "chip company" means. Selling a material to be used by chip manufacturers is one thing, but designing and manufacturing chips themselves is indeed a whole different ballgame and changes the entire scope of things (and the money they'd need to raise to do attempt it).
