There is a lot of confusion about this. The collapsing entity is actually Carlyle Capital Corp., which is just one of 60 funds managed by the Carlyle Group. Carlyle Group execs own just 15% of this fund, so it's mainly the fund customers who are being screwed. I don't see any evidence right now that the Carlyle Group itself is "in danger of collapse".
