My Social Security mailings have my first name misspelled due to a typo. I'm not sure how to get this fixed.

I have the same problem. On the periodic mailings I get from Social Security telling me how much my projected benefit will be, my name is misspelled by one letter. When I went to e-file my tax return last year, IRS would not take it because there was not a match between my SS records and the name on my return.

I need to get this fixed, as I'm sure it will cause no end of problems ultimately when I become eligible for benefits.
