Faith is a form of intellectual laziness. That's a great quote - I couldn't agree more. I'd add, of course, that in addition to applying to religious beliefs (which it surely does) one could as aptly mention - within the same context - faith in democracy, the value of coerced diversity, the notion of equality...let alone egalitarianism...being either a reasonable description of the natural state of man or an optimal state of economic affairs, and/or any deferring to government as similarly slothful thinking. e
