What I think he's saying here is that he didn't hear these particular statements because he didn't happen to be in attendance.

The church sells DVDs which is where the press are pulling a lot of their choice bits. There is no way he could not have seen any of the DVDs of his "spiritual mentor".

I'm personally doing cartwheels every time I see Wright on TV. I think this is a campaign killer. Although, if anyone could screw this up, it would be McCain and wimp-like approach to politics.
