<<<I always thought that looking back with fondness on the successes of the Clinton years would help people want to vote for Hillary. WYSINAWIOT

What You See Is Not Always What Is Out There.

This is a bad example, but I remember the election in 1972. We were pretty much like the Obama people today. We were outsiders and anti war. We were the best and brightest young people. The morale was tremendously high. How could we lose? We were on the right side.

Besides, I really didn't know anyone that was going to vote for Nixon. I didn't even know anyone that knew anyone that was going to vote for Nixon.

We must have been hullucinating that we could win.

We lost in 49 states.

Just because the people you hang out with all say they feel the same way, I am not sure they actually know how they feel. Peer pressure does strange things.
