wso2, remember this outtake below from the interview on 11/6/07? In it Marc refers to using LACC technology on 2 new Amera-Seiki turning machines to produce a round stainless steel part for the mining industry. Could this be the same mining industry customer referred to in the most recent press release about the new production order? If it is, it should put to rest any anxiety concerning the actual usage of LACC on the new production order. Maybe ACII obtained the new order on the premise of being the "low cost producer" if they are using the LACC technology internally (i.e. LACC was not a condition for order acceptance). Also, notice that Marc is talking about "a round stainless steel part" in the singular vernacular. If it is the same customer, then we can only speculate as to wether or not the new production order is for the described part only, or if the new production order includes additional unique parts not mentioned in the November interview. Here is a link to the entire November interview:

OUTTAKE:
NEW TURNING MACHINES EXPAND LACC CAPABILITIES

CEO Marc Walther said, "We have taken delivery of two important Amera-Seiki turning machines to expand the milling business by applying the LACC technology. We are currently using our patented LACC technology (internally) on those machines to produce a round stainless steel part for the mining industry, reducing manufacturing cycle time and cost, and increasing quality.

"We also will use those same new turning machines to verify that LACC technology works for a variety of parts for major Tier One customers and prospects. The two new turning machines function as dual-purpose machines for us.

"In addition, to increase capacity we are taking delivery of five additional new turning machines before the end of the year. We are also setting up a secondary LACC production line that will enable us to handle turning parts that we specifically target including stampings, tubes and shafts, as well as oil pipe fittings."
