Let's put this in perspective. As you wrote Reagan was the two term Governor of California.

Being the Governor of the great State of California requires skills far beyond that of a State Senator or US Senator. California is a state that geographically almost runs the whole length of the West Coast with its geography as diverse as its populations.

Reagan was born in 1911 in Illinois, incidentally the homestate for Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama's current home. His life experiences are vast.

Reagan came to adulthood in the 1930's during the truly "Great Depression" followed by World War II in which many brave Americans fought to prevent the take over of the world by Hitler.

In his early years Reagan----was an all American football player, radio announcer, actor, attended a minor college in Illinois.

Reagan had the courage and audacity to challenge the Communism in Hollywood when he was President of the Actor's Guild in California.

By the time Reagan was elected President he had been active in affecting change and had affected change for the good of all people in America.

Like Reagan, Obama is a talented public speaker. Obama has to his credit his experience in the two Senates---albeit he has spent most of his recent term running for office for the nomination to run for President.

I agree with the previous writer that the world's democracies hold the USA in high regard as do the numerous immigrants who want to live in the USA. And yes I do get out and about.

I understand that you want to elect Obama; however, I find your comparison with Reagan's wealth of experience invalid.
