Well, I'm all for practicality, which is why I suggest using gold to form a nest egg with. Saving money in a pension has been shown to be a waste of time in the UK. As for nano sized gold particles, well I dont keep a whole wad of cash and coins in my pocket these days either (the UK pound coins wears clothing faster then anything). Nearly all of my daily financial transactions are electronic, and that can be easily done in micograms or even nanograms of gold as anything else. I spent nearly 1/4 an ounce of gold equivalent today on petrol (gas), sand and concrete by way of an example.

Anyway, I wouldn't suggest for a minute to put all your eggs in one basket, I haven't either... buy some silver too -g-

A vote for gold, it's like a world currency, is a vote to tell governments and scamsters alike to clean up the fiat act and get real.

There are some useful suggestions for how a real currency could be developed towards the end of this presentation.

Yes, gold is manipulated too, but once you keep your ownership to a smallish percentage of your total wealth, you can buy and sell some to get in on the volatility. It's going to be in a long term bullish trend until markets become more honest imho.

I anticipate volatility in the pm's. Eggs all in one basket definitely not a good idea.
