Hank, I won't comment on your investing strategy or opinions. If you want to be a short seller and make a case to suport your own interests, that's fine by me. It's all part of the marketplace. But to suggest that a company might have "cooked" its books, especially when, as far as I know, there has never been any suggestion of improprietary concerning the way Adtran reports its finances is a pretty pathetic jab. I've appreciated reading your viewpoint concerning Adtran's valuation. I think it's healthy for these sorts of forums to have positive and negative opinions expressed. But I would like to suggest that you stick to statements which contain at least a kernal of factual information. For the record, I was recently bumped out on a stop limit and have no position in the stock. But over the last several years I have bought and sold Adtran several times (for a modest profit) and imagine that I will continue to do so. One of the main reasons being that the integrity of Adtran's management seem excellent. If you have information to support your backhanded suggestion that Adtran's management lacks integrity, then please share it. Fred Brooks
