I'm confused by all this right now. I've had JPM on a watch list for awhile, but the size of it's own derivatives was daunting.

You could be right. JPM may be stronger than appeared if the Fed was willing to back their participation.

The problem with all the banks, though, is that except for relief rally bounces, they will probably be dead money for quite awhile. I don't see where the growth will come from after this credit debacle and the legislation that is sure to come.
