Boy are you off base. It was the Right that said over and over again that nation building was not the job of the United States. Particularly after the Soviet pullout of Afghanistan, Reagan and Bush turned their backs on the place. It's ridiculous how you recall history. Even before the war in Iraq, administration officials, particularly Rumsfeld, made it clear national building was our business. Boy do you have a blinkered view of history.
