I wish there were more folks on Lindy Bills thread who called bush for going off in stupid directions, whether the war in iraq, tactical mistakes during that war or even Katrina. Having said that, i wish there were some folks on this thread who suppport obama begin to realize that some of their defenses of the the indefensible Wright comments not to mention obamas ambivalence toward his inablity to have stood up to his religous mentor in some fashion, make this thread sound much like the lindy bill pro-bush thread from the 04 election.
The nominating process is like a horse race where the frontrunner is losing his luster and that crazed clinton horse is coming on fast, but probably not fast enough to win. What you get for the general election then is one tired horse and a rested, more mature horse waiting for him. If superdelegates as a group get a whiff of this in time, they may provide the whip that eventually gets hillary to the election. I cringe in thinking that we will spend the entire obama/mccain election watching crazy Wright preaching while the states obama needs to win---ohio, florida, missouri, the south, the west, peel away from him in a year the dem should have done far better than uusal there. Democrats deserve to win the presidency this year. I think hillary is the last dem standing who can win in november. |
