Manhattan finally is going to see a recession and major crack in housing prices out of all this? Just the multiplier effect of the number of jobs expected to be gone and the wealth evaporating from the stock price plunge across the board in investment banks is enormous.

Okay we all saw this coming. Still the credit crunch = deflation argument is still out there and unresolved? When will LIG and Mish be proven right or wrong? What is the threshold? Still looks like stagflation to me as you and I live and travel daily in some of the worst hit RE markets perhaps on the planet and outside of property everything costs even more today than six months ago..No doubt many businesses closing up, commercial RE in a funk but the stronger survivors must raise prices in order to stay open just like the airlines, just like anyone in business in the 1970's when it was much worse
