It only feels like stagflation because it takes time for credit problems in the U.S. to transmit globally. Inflation is based on global economic factors not just what happens in the U.S.

Now Europe is a mess and so is Japan.

Post 2000, it took 2 years for deflation to be recognized and that was after false calls of stagflation in 2001 when Greenspan started cutting rates.

Year over year it's going to be hard to beat current commodities prices; in fact, I took short positions on Friday and today.

The market isn't stupid. A 2 year note that has fallen from 5 to 1 continuously for 8 months now isn't a 'technical' problem, it's a forecast.
