Did he get it right?

"He got it right this time but, mostly, he has been a great contrary indicator."

Greenie announced:
40% short OSX on Feb 20 with OSX at 280 avge.
65% short OSX on Feb 27 with OSX at 288 avge.
70% short OSX on Mar 04 with OSX at 276 avge.

Reduced (no numbers given) on Mar 07 with OSX at 275 avge.
0% short OSX on Mar 17 with OSX at 275 avge.

Looks like Greenie made in the region of 3-4% gains over the period on his shorts.

He also bet on a significant dollar rally on March 11 - oops!
Hope he covered that one today, as tomorrow will be ugly for the USD.

Greenie appears to have played it profitably short term on the OSX, however...
He could have made a lot more money shorting the NYSE and vastly more money shorting the financials, over the same period. Both of those IMHO were much safer short bets than risking shorting the OSX in the current climate.

By the way, over the same period I have made 25% in BZP Energy (cashed out), 20% in Etruscan Resources (partially cashed out) and 30.5% in Dennison Mines (cashed out).

In comparison, you can hardly say that he "got it right this time".
Had Greenie gone long in almost any oil, gold or uranium company over the same period, he would have made a lot more money.

Cheers,
S&P
