As someone who invests primarily in junior commodity stocks, I'm much more worried about the effects of the current Tibetan rebellion and what China does in response. A poor choice by them could have much longer and wider repercussions for commodities than the current credit crunch in the US.

I've never owned CIBC, but it is definitely down into buying range. What I have come across indicates this is pretty well all priced in to their stock already, especially after today's spanking, so it might be a compelling buy from here.
