Good point. I hadn't considered the legal issues. I suppose then it is likely they will file suit, but perhaps won't pursuit it very aggressively and let it litigate for a couple of years. that way they would have the best of both worlds. Let them stick around long enough to hurt AMD and Cyrix's margins and then finsh them off by aggressively enforcing the patent.
