For the first time ever, I nearly went bust today on Poker Stars. I have been taking my monthly living expenses out of PS and a couple of other sites every month for more than two years, leaving behind what I thought was so much gambling money that I couldn't lose it. But I've had my longest losing streak ever. When I pull a boat, the other guy has quads. And I NEVER believe another guy has quads until he shows. <G> If I have aces vs. queens in a race, a queen will hit. It's been that kind of month so far.

And, for the first time ever, my trick of moving from a game where I'm losing to another game to change my mojo has not worked. I was losing at small stack nlhe, short table nlhe, Horse, Stud, Stud hi-lo, Omaha hi-lo, sit and goes and multi table tournaments.

Anyhow, I found myself putting all I had left in my bank at Poker Stars into the pot today. That is a nauseating feeling. Fortunately, I tripled up, then doubled that up later. I am now down for the month, but I am not on life support.

Finally, I am beginning to realize why poker players have shaky hands. <G>

I also realize that I have not only been playing well the past two years, but I've been pretty danged lucky.

Well, the Lord watches out for drunkards and fools, which makes me doubly blessed.
