KT,
I'm really starting to lose faith in democracy and this country.
I think it's horrible that some people at BSC made absolute fortunes in salary and bonuses on the way up, but during the bust it's going to be lower level people whose pensions and jobs are wiped out. Sure, people on the top lost a lot too, but they are still wealthy.
The same is pretty much true of most of Wall St.
I also think most politicians at the city, state, and Federal level, the government financial institutions (Fed, IMF etc..), most of the real power on Wall St, and much of media are intrinsically evil.
I have no faith in the system to correct itself because most people aren't intelligent enough to understand what's going on and the rest are ignorant because they are too busy taking care of their family and lives.
It's not "free markets" that are the problem.
It's the fact that we don't really have free markets, we don't have sound money or a sound financial system, and those that are in control buy whatever laws and institutions they need to continue the rape and pillage.
I honestly believe there's only one real solution.
We need a revolution and a total massacre of the scum.
Maybe I'm just so emotional tonight I'm not thinking straight. I understand how horrible what I am saying is, but intellectually, I believe that is the only possible solution.
IMHO, there is no non-violent way to straighten this country out. Even if a low probability event occurs and the system comes down like in Germany (hyperinflation) or we have another depression, responsible people of integrity are not going come to power democratically and traighten things out.
We need a revolution that puts a total wild man in charge for about 5-10 years. We have to let him exterminate the vermin. Then we can assassinate him and call him evil after he does the dirty work. ;-) |
