While churches in the white community are not as commonly "liberationist", precisely because of the inequalities visited on the different communities, I would not have a problem with a person having a relative (for example) who was one. I actually respect people who don't just dispose of all their "problematic" friends and relatives. I kind of hate seeing people jettisoned because they no longer contribute to the candidates image. It makes people seem so disposable. I wouldn't want a white candidate to court Klan support, but if they had a relative they loved despite that, not a problem for me- and Obama repudiated Farrakhan's ideas and Wright's more problematic ones- unless something turns up that shows Obama actually believes this stuff himself, I don't have a problem with him.
