Ed, you are right I'm dating myself on the 1T figure - but that's kind of my point.

Comparisons are being made to bloated inventories the last few years which leads folks to believe we are at some sort of deficit, when really we've just started to work off the bloat.

And we haven't seen much complaining yet about prices going from $7 to $10 in short order - but we will as the impact trickles through electrical bills.

I watch a broad range of commodities, from grains to metals to energy - and when I see everything go up simultaneously (and higher than a falling dollar would indicate) then I suspect there is something afoot. Call it speculation, a boom, whatever - prices this high won't last, and could fall very quickly once they start.
