Bob are you for nuclear at all. I was around for the Three Mile Island debacle and Chernobyl but I still am for it. Out on Long Island the expensive Nuclear plant that was built in Shoreham never opened as the citizenry rose up. On a program about sleep deprivation on 60 Minutes I was informed that both 3 mile and Chernobyl were human error from lack of sleep.. Also the Exxon Valdez.. It's the getting rid of the waste from these plants that concerns me. Unless we start domestic production of oil in spite of my being an environmentalist (what else right ? ) I hate being dependent on OPEC... I never rented a thing as I hate beholding to anyone.. We have to wean ourselves from dependence.. We are too use to having electricty and WATER my other concern. The builders here in Fl. where water is scarce put pools and jacuzzi in all new homes. AND the lawns, instead of being Zoysa (ex. sp.) grass is Augustine which takes a lot of water. We are still ho hum about natural resources....
