Obama's Church Accuses Media of Character Assassination

Obama's church, Trinity United Church Of Christ, has attempted to respond to the video clips that have emerged of their former pastor Jeremiah Wright engaging in hateful, racist, ignorant, anti-American diatribes they called sermons. Otis Moss III, the current pastor of Trinity United, said that "we have listened and watched as the wonderful work of our church has been vilified this week. This week should be special for us because I guess we know a little something about crucifixion." Give me a break! Trying to play the victim card is idiotic. Wright blamed America for 9-11, compared America to Al-Qaeda, said "God Damn America," blamed America for inventing AIDS as a means of genocide, and more. This is self-inflicted, not the result of some evil racist overlords crucifying your pastor the same way black Jesus was crucified.
Yet the church released a statement that began: “Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe." It is more than disgusting that they would besmirch the good name of Martin Luther King by comparing him with the likes of Wright. How dare that church compare themselves to MLK and claim they are being assassinated! This is not a character assassination of the church, for this church has committed character suicide.
Watch Obama in a recent speech claiming the "forces of division have started to raise their ugly heads again.” I am crying rivers for all these victims. Senator, your association with Jeremiah Wright is inexcusable. For you to imply that some nefarious "forces of division," racial or otherwise, are working against you is ridiculous. With the release of the Wright tapes, not only is Obama unfit to be the President of the United States, he is unfit to be the Junior Senator from Illinois.
