i wonder why folks are bidding up bsc

just in in-tray

QUOTE
for anyone who cares on the BSC/JPM deal, stock is trading up on all sorts of rumours sa a new bid coming in and bondholders buying the stock to make it easier for shareholder vote to approve the merger.

All the legal hurdles were cleared ahead of time. There will be no new bid. BSC's email address has already changed to JPM's.

a little known fact is that the shareholder vote is not necessary for this deal to go through. It is done and dusted.

So we have govt expropriation.....some things never change in a crisis
