Great post. While some 'understand' why Wright does what he does and suggest he is simply part of an essentially innocent culture, in point of fact this kind of attitude is nothing but the support of reverse racism. Yes, there are bright lines. If you detest someone because he is white or black or brown, you are a racist. If you attend and support a church that teaches a racist message, you are mollycoddling racism and are likely a racist yourself. And if you knowingly expose your kids to this kind of indoctrination, you are the worst kind of parent imaginable, one who teaches hate. It is no excuse that blacks have been oppressed. Hate and racism is.......hate and racism. There is no justification for it in this day and age. Obama might very well be hiding some attitudes which are deeply ingrained but which will never be revealed. In Obama's case, show me what he does, not what he says. Anyone can craft and deliver a good speech. Did he reject Wright's message when the spotlight was not on him, when it counted? Doesn't sound like it. He seems to have embraced it.
