You'll have to excuse me for taking so long to respond Mr. Dvdw... Its been a trying day. <Hoo><sigh><Hoo> First I was shocked into a near catatonic state and had to be rushed to the aviary due to myocardial molt... after listening to the shocking onslaught of optimism out of the Obama campaign today. Then there was this incredibly obscene flight to inferior quality in today's edition of the new game show: Make My Markets Mania! So I don't know whether its my Math-0-Magical deficiencies... or the desiccation of my precious pessimistic flight feathers... but I am having trouble detecting the meaning in your message. Let me list as much as I think I see and you tell me where I am off or on: 1. Since 2000 the total trading volume has gone through the roof... and well past the first level of cumulus clouds; 2. Since 2000 the number of issuing companies dropped by more than 25% (We do not dare ask why.); and 3. Conversely during the same period Block Trades, i.e. (I assume) trades by the MoMo institutions, have fallen off a comparative cliff by a factor of roughly 66% fewer trades... and even lower volume levels. If the above is in fact what you're saying it raises the following questions: Is Mom & Pop retail really this stupid? Can all these retail "trades" be real considering the drop in the supply of stock issuing entities? Does the drop in issuing companies suggest a "Sicko" economy being "held up" (I don't mean "mugged.") by the biggest casino operation the world has ever seen? Is all this stock churning, pumping and counterfeiting perfect evidence that "Democracy" and "Free Markets" inevitably devolve into the most fertile culture for fraud, crime and corruption man has ever devised? But the really scary thing for me is #3 above... I cannot... at least in my current condition... fathom a "reason" for the disappearing Block Trades? ...Where have they all gone? ...That one great "unknown" really terrifies my negative nay-bobbing heart! <Hoo?><Barrrrrr><ack><Hoo?> 0\|0
