AmeriChip International Inc.'s New "Green" LACC Technology Creates a Competitive Advantage in the Oil Pipe Threading Industry

2008-03-19 09:14 ET - News Release

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/19/08

AmeriChip International, Inc. (OTCBB: ACII) -- Edward Rutkowski, Chief Technology Officer, announced that he is spearheading a project to build an in-house, commercialized, end-user ready system which will enable the Company to demonstrate to oil pipe manufacturers and threaders, the new "Green" LACC technology.

Edward Rutkowski and his Research Director, Daniel Green, have successfully perfected a superior method and system that reduces the amount of capital equipment required to thread oil pipe affording AmeriChip and its customers a distinct competitive advantage in the oil pipe threading industry,

Upon filing and receipt of the "patent pendings" from the US Patent Office, in the second quarter of 2008, this commercialized system will be available for implementation.

The threading of oil pipes is an extremely complex machining process. The criteria demands perfection and precision of each machined part. The machining of steel pipes 45 feet in length with varying diameters is an everyday hazard. In addition, the requirement of coolant and its disposal can account for up to 20% of the machining cost, which can be entirely eliminated by the use of the LACC process. The disadvantage of using coolant is that, in some instances, the coolant has been found to cause "pitting" on the threads of pipes, which if not corrected, may cause an "embolism" when the pipe is installed and operating under great pressure. These leaks can be costly and difficult to resolve in the field.

"The savings that will be realized as a result of the application of the new LACC technology will allow our customers to increase their market share in this billion dollar worldwide oil pipe industry," stated Edward Rutkowski.

Headquartered in Clinton Township, MI AmeriChip, a patented technology company, holds a patented technology known as Laser Assisted Chip Control, which can be used to re-engineer the manufacturing process for industrial metal machining applications. AmeriChip is committed to keeping jobs in America for Americans.
