My introduction to Arthur C. Clarke was a collection of short stories, Tales from the White Hart. It was 1961 and I was twelve. I was in the sixth grade at the time and my teacher made me sit in the corner of the classroom after she caught me reading the book in class for the third time in the same day. It was my introduction to the world of science fiction. I still have the book.
