I prefer to put my money on American companies, and the sector
where I think the U.S. clearly leads is in biotechnology. But
it ain't easy finding the right ones--some genuine homework is
required.

holding gold is only a value store

Well, if the commodity bubble pops, some of that
value will evaporate. I've never wanted to own gold,
they just dig up more--though obviously there are
periods of time where the demand for gold can outpace
production. Ha, printing money is easier than digging
gold, so maybe that is where I tripped up <g>.
Wouldn't want to own gold at these prices, there is
some bubble in everything except natural gas (and
maybe sugar or cotton I don't know about/I don't
follow commodities too closely.
