Missy had to stay in Pensacola during Ivan because of her job. She at the time worked for the paper. She stayed far enough away and in high ground, but there were they figured about 200 tornados in Pensacola during and right after Ivan. There were 2000 trees knocked down and W Florida University where they stayed and it tore the roof off the building she was in.

She said she would never stay during a hurricane again, and if they tried to make her, they could fire her. She said she'd never been so afraid in her life...and for what? They couldn't get the paper out, all their equipment was damaged or destroyed, and the people who were in the building with her couldn't get out there were so many trees down.
