So?

(I'd say that posing a huge challenge to both the dominant religious authorities, and the dominant political authorities, as well as the dominant economic leadership of the time... would pretty-well qualify anyone for the label of 'radical'. His contemporaries certainly thought so. If that's not a 'radical' then the word has absolutely no meaning.)

Never-the-less... it would be very difficult to think of any more EFFECTIVE radical in the entire history of mankind.
