Loonie drops more than 2 cents

TORONTO — The Canadian dollar fell more than 2 cents against the U.S. currency, to trade well below 99 cents (U.S.).

It is the lowest level in a month that the Canadian currency, known as the loonie, has traded against its U.S. counterpart.
