Yes, exactly.

That is the usual definition and understanding of the word 'radical'.

My original observation was made with reference to Peter's posted phrase "radicalized psuedo-Christianity"... (which struck me as sort of a humorous comment --- being as how early Christianity was about as radical a movement and concept as any in the entire history of mankind! :-)
