When it comes to who should be President, who we elect to hold all that power. I look for honesty beyond doubt. I look for character and the courage of one's convictions. Sadly McCain's glass may only be half full, but non of the dems have a glass. By the way, such sermons are well within the norm of Black Liberation Theology that is the theme of Wright's church. And if you wish to believe that the only time Wright said such was while being recorded and never otherwise, well that what you may believe. In any case one only needs make statement once and those statements should have been admonished and rejected by such a majority that they would not have popped up out of nowhere on youtube. In the context of youtube, were the words cheered, based upon the context why would one assume those messages consistent with main stream Black Liberation Theology are unique. I have no idea what obame believes. I know he will expose his children to hateful rubbish that I would never allow to stand and does not have the courage to confront a pastor. In any case those were not my words but the words of another and were a subset of the full comments at the link. You also do not know the nature of Wright's sermons and judging others based upon your own limited knowledge seems to exude the bias inherent in your kind of analysis and clearly you know you are right. Do you find the ideas expressed on YouTube by wright to be non sense? It is on an equal pedestal with islamic non sense? What do you consider before you give the job as the most powerful man in the world to someone? Our minds are shaped up by the person with whom we intellectually associate with, that is how we are groomed. Ideological grooming at least by experience is even more damaging; the sermons of hate from pulpits of mosques have destroyed a whole generation. To listen to nonsense which is ‘inexcusable’ for 20 years for a highly gifted person is not easy. In our part of the world, we suffer greatly because of this indoctrination of the radicals. Those who adopt radical leaderships unquestionably intellectually lean towards them. If I would have sat for 20 years in a company of a radical person, my thought process and analytical abilities would evolve quite differently. I don’t think the Democratic Party would be so charitable to any Islamic prospective leader attending a radical mosque under a radical leader enchanted by the fringe elements of the society, I dare not compare Mr. Jeremiah Wright with Aiyman Al-Zahwari. Perhaps on grade of non sense both stand on equal pedestal. IQBAL LATIF
