I honestly don't think you are capable of seeing my point of view on this. I don't see Wright and Duke as equivalents by any stretch of the imagination. I could expand on my reasons for that, if you like.

I already said that if a person's entire record showed that they didn't agree with David Duke's ideas, I would not necessarily assume that just because they had spent time with him that they were just being dishonest, especially if they had stated emphatically and categorically that they disagreed with him.

I just don't buy the whole "guilt by association" rationale.

I think I do see the nature of the problem facing Obama. I do see that there are a lot of people who will now have made up their minds that Obama has poor judgment, or that he is dishonest, or whatever. I doubt that many of them would have supported him in any case.
