A raid on speculators, as the FED provided selective financing for the few this week and a drain for everyone else - that was a rumour of the margin man in commodities - raising margin requirements. That did it. Things should get especially interesting if some leveraged outfits collapse. Gold had enormous spec long position for some time, but dippers are emerging in the physical market, which, in the end, is what drives gold higher. I still think it could fall even lower. 200 MA?
