For me, it is a simple equation. Has Obama ever echoed any of Wright's bad comments in his own writings and speeches? Nope. Has he ever sat by and nodded and not objected when the bad things Wright said were expressed by anyone? Not that anyone can find.

Is there anything about Wright's anger that is expressed in Obama's speeches and writings? Nada.

It's just more of the same old distractions. And if they continue to dominate the political process, the agenda of America's problems that needs to be addressed will be stuck in the same terminal gridlock we have had for years now.

And when everyone is bitching and moaning a year or two from now that nothing has changed, I hope they will look back on this episode and remember.

But I doubt it. As Obama noted, they will be consumed with new distractions then.
