And the problem in the 2nd issue isn't as much low interest rates combined with innovative mortgage products as much as it is low credit standards for mortgages combined with a housing bubble, and the bubble's subsequent collapse. As though a housing bubble and the subsequent collapse are somehow independent of the low interest rates and innovative mortgages? Some things are causative. It pays to be able to understand that.
