Compared to the size of the energy market their are no huge oil subsidies.

Outside farming, it's probably the most heavily subsidized US industry.

Also to the extent oil is subsidized that doesn't justify further subsidies on other things, a better action would be to remove the oil subsidies.

Well since that ain't going to happen we still need to get to a level playing field.
