Nice post about McCain as president. I'm trying to find something to argue with you about it but nothing pops up. There is much that needs doing that McCain would not do but the question was what would happen. I think you nailed it. One comment, though. Barry McCaferty (sp?) the former general and drug czar, was on one of the cable networks yesterday arguing that the US would pull most the troops out of Iraq in 09 regardless of who wins. His argument was that (a) there is presently little support for the war among US voters and (b) there will inevitably be some major upsurge in violence which will turn even more voters against the war. Had the feel of accuracy.
