One nuke project in Florida is coming in with an estimate $17 Billion price tag. It will probably take 10 years before it is operational. Most experts estimate that solar will go past grid parity by then. The real reason why nukes are starting to gain traction is that the government will now guarantee the loans. Before that change the smart money didn't like the ROI.
